Ben currently serves as Senior Director for International Operations at Concentric by Ginkgo, the biosecurity and public health unit of Ginkgo Bioworks. In this role, Ben oversees the planning, launch, and growth of Concentric’s international biosecurity programs, partnering with governments and other entities around the world on building pathogen monitoring capabilities.  

Prior to this role, Ben led operations for Concentric’s partnership with the US CDC in building the Traveler-based Genomic Surveillance program, an early warning pathogen monitoring system which collects and analyzes clinical and wastewater samples from passengers and aircraft arriving into the United States from locations around the world. Ben also previously served as Concentric’s General Manager for the Northeast region, where he managed four statewide COVID-19 testing programs for K-12 schools. Prior to Concentric, Ben worked in management consulting as a manager at Bain & Company. 

Ben holds a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia Business School, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
