Dr Hu works as Senior Legal and Policy Advisor of the Access Campaign, Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders). She is a licensed lawyer and researcher, with more than 15 years’ experience working with non-for-profit sector on law and policies concerning access to medicines, human rights and environmental justice. Yuan’s main expertise looks at the intersections between intellectual property, human rights, biomedical innovation and access to medicines. She holds a PhD in law from SOAS, University of London, and is affiliated with the Law, Development and Environment Research Centre at School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London access to medicines.
