Iveth J. González is the Head of Health Programme at Terre des hommes foundation (Tdh) in Lausanne, Switzerland. She is medical doctor with a PhD in Life Sciences from the University of Lausanne and two management certificates from the EPFL and the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (STPH). Dr. González has over 20 years of experience in the field of poverty-related infectious diseases and in supporting the development and implementation of innovative medical technologies for resource-poor settings. At Tdh, she is leading projects aimed to improve the quality of primary healthcare services and to strengthen health systems in 10 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Through its projects, Tdh’s Health Programme supports local governments with training and supervision of midwives and healthcare workers and with the deployment of digital health tools for clinical consultations of pregnant women, newborns, and children below 5 years old.
