Marisa Peyre (Eng. , Ph.D., HDR) is an epidemiologist and deputy director of ASTRE, the integrated health research unit in CIRAD. She specialized on the evaluation of health surveillance systems in developed and developing countries, on emerging zoonotic risks and on the strengthening of public-private partnerships. She provides expertise for international organisations. She is a co-founder of the PREZODE initiative (Preventing Zoonotic Disease Emergence). She drives an international change in paradigm towards increased prevention of health risks using a bottom-up approach.
